The organic, certified organic or wild harvested ingredients below have been developed by nature, tested throughout time and expertly blended to help support and promote the natural functioning of healthy, natural looking skin.

   Organic Grass Fed Tallow

The fatty acids found in our organic grass-fed tallow are ultra rich, incredibly and uniquely compatible and similar to the structure of the oils (lipids) found in our outer layer of skin (sebum) this makes it highly absorbable which improves the protective barrier function of the skin, prevent moisture loss and regenerates the appearance of healthy, youthful looking skin. It also contains essential vitamins A, D and K as well as vitamin E which are all critical for our general health as well as our skin health. The Tallow used in our Bare Moo creams is a high quality, gently rendered animal fat, after the rendering process is completed we are left with liquid gold, it’s this liquid gold that protects, regenerates and will deeply moisturise your skin, it is as pure a moisturiser as can be.

 

    Cold pressed, Organic Calendula Oil

One of the best reasons we included Calendula in our Baby moisturiser is due to its healing abilities. If applied to dry, flaky skin, cuts, scrapes, bruises, eczema and nappy rash, it can quickly speed the healing process, partially due to its anti-inflammatory properties and the unique antioxidant compounds found in this miraculous plant. By protecting against infections, it keeps wounds and scrapes safe, allowing them to heal rapidly, while calming and soothing itchy and irritated eczema. Aside from stimulating healing, Calendula can significantly boost the appearance of adults skin. It can improve blood flow to the skin cells, provide antioxidant protection that reduces the appearance of wrinkles and age spots, and even the visibility of scars. 

 

     Avocado oil, cold pressed organic

An excellent emollient rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, D & E along with other potent antioxidants, make avocado oil ideal for clearing up skin conditions. Vitamin E has certain antioxidant effects, helping to stimulate the growth of new cells, protecting the skin against infections, reducing inflammatory problems, including eczema and rosacea, and improving the appearance and youthfulness of your skin.

   Sunflower oil, cold pressed organic 

Is a powerful anti-inflammatory oil, rich in vitamin E, Omega 9's, 3 and 6 essential fatty acids which help to replenish the skin's own natural lipids.

 

   Organic, Vanilla Bean Extract

Soft and sweet, Vanilla is one of the most popular notes used in skincare, however Vanilla is much more than a beautiful smell, it also has a number of important benefits, including its ability to prevent the breakdown of cells and tissues around the body and stimulate the body’s natural regrowth. The antibacterial nature of this beneficial flower makes it a powerful ally in the battle against pimples and skin irritation as it can eliminate the underlying infection and speed up the healing process of the skin. It can even reduce the appearance of scars from a particularly bad bout of acne. On top of that it smells wonderful!

   Camellia Oil, cold pressed organic

This highly nutritious oil, also known as Green Tea is fantastic for skin. It is lightweight and absorbs well, soothing dry and irritated skin. It is rich in vitamins A, B, C & E, omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids, promoting skin elasticity and protecting against the signs of premature ageing.

    Jojoba Seed Oil, cold pressed organic

Jojoba oil is the liquid wax extracted from the seeds of the jojoba plant. Some of the compounds found in jojoba oil are almost instantly absorbed into the skin, where they form a protective shield around the skin cells, preventing them from losing any additional moisture. The hydrating properties of this oil can prevent skin flaking and protect the cells that are most vulnerable to outside elements. 

    Sweet Almond oil, Cold pressed, organic

Sourced in the vast Almond regions of California, this high grade Organic Almond oil offers numerous raw benefits due to the sensitive nature in which it was produced via cold pressing so all the goodness remains within the oil. An excellent emollient.
Rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. Calms & protects against skin irritation. A straightforward nutritious skin food.

  Organic Virgin Olive Oil, cold pressed.

The Spanish Olive oil used in Bare Moo creams is not only a nutritious oil for dressing your salads but also great for nourishing your skin. A rich fatty acid profile, it contains three major antioxidants; vitamin E, polyphenols, and phytosterols, which help to neutralise free radicals, preventing skin damage and repairing cell membranes.

  • Olive oil is high in squalene, which helps to regulate oil production and improve cell regeneration.
  • Squalene is critical for vitamin D synthesis in the skin and is found naturally in the oils produced by youthful skin (sebum).

Mediterranean folk have been applying it directly to their skin for decades to deliver the appropriate moisture to their sun tanned skins. To ensure maximum quality and preservation of nutrients and antioxidants, the olives are cold pressed immediately after harvest and the resulting olive oil is gravity settled, not filtered.

    Rosehip oil, organic

This oil is handpicked and then lightly pressed to produce a golden-red tinted oil. The benefits of Rosehip oil for the skin are many; it’s a true multi-tasking beauty essential, rich in skin-loving nutrients! Pure, certified organic, cold-pressed Rosehip oil is packed-full of antioxidants, essential fatty acids (omegas 3 & 6), fatty acids (omega 9) and beta-carotene (pro-Vitamin A), making it not only intensely nourishing but one of the best pure plant oils for helping repair and rejuvenate skin.

   Arnica oil, organic

Also known as "mountain tobacco", Arnica is known to stimulate the blood flow when applied externally hence it's popularity as a repairer of damaged skin (bruises & skin scars)  Arnica has anti-inflammatory properties which help eczema, psoriasis among other skin conditions.

    Argan oil, organic

Used to boost skin cell production, improve elasticity of the skin and to treat many skin conditions such as eczema and dry skin. Argan oil is extremely rich in Vitamin E, the natural antioxidant, rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and with high levels of Oleic acid leaving it incredibly versatile and beneficial for the skin. The Argan oil used in Bare Moo creams support various women's cooperatives in Morocco. Interestingly the Argan nut is harvested both using the Argan tree itself and the local goats. The goats like to climb the Argan tree to consume the fruit. Luckily the nuts remain and are collected by local women cooperatives, the kernels are then split (to get to the nuts) and then the nuts gently cold pressed to deliver a highly functional, vitamin E rich ingredient that has widely become a cosmetic super power ingredient.

   Rosemary leaf Extract, organic

A dark brown, very thick, oily liquid botanical extract from the dried leaves of the Rosemary plant using CO2 extraction. Rosemary is an extremely effective antioxidant with anti-inflammatory proprieties, it keeps the tallow and cold pressed Organic oils fresh and stable.

   Patchouli, organic

Useful in treating a wide array of skins conditions and great at regenerating new skin cells, thus keeping the skin looking healthy, young and vibrant along with its sweet, spicy and musky aroma makes patchouli an excellent addition to our men’s moisturiser.

   Blood orange essential oil, organic

With hydrating properties Blood Orange is great for maintaining healthy, smooth skin. It also is wonderfully uplifting & refreshing with a delicate, sweet balsamic aroma.

 

   Balsam Fir, Wild Harvested

Helps improve respiratory function, soothes irritated skin, while being emotionally supportive helping with stress and anxiety.

 

   Black Pepper, organic

Mild and almost woody in aroma, Black pepper oil is great for circulation and due to its antibacterial properties it protects the body from damages by oxidants (free radicals) and also helps to repair those damages that have already been done. It also delays adverse effects of ageing such as wrinkling of the skin.

    Ravensara, organic

The “Cure All” oil which is a great anti-inflammatory for the skin, the oil itself is non-sensitising, non-irritating and it can reduce the allergic reactions of the body as well. With its sweet-spicy medicinal scent mixed with deep woods Ravensara uplifts your mood, relaxes the mind and invokes energy and sensations of hope and joy.

 

   Palo Santo, Wild Harvested 

This oil highly sought after with its distinctive uplifting fragrance and calming, grounding qualities. Its said that the ingredients in Palo Santo essential oil can inhibit the elastase enzyme, which is responsible for breaking down the elastin in our skin this can help tighten up the skin and provide a more youthful appearance while the antioxidants in it can help stimulate the growth of new skin cells and minimise the other signs of ageing, like blemishes and age spots.

Pumpkin Seed oil is a remarkably powerful source of health benefits which include its ability to improve skin care. The fatty acids found in pumpkin seed oil boast antioxidant properties. When it is topically applied, it is known to reduce skin inflammation, stimulate the growth of new cells and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes related to age.  Pumpkin seed oil is also a rich source of vitamin E, which has powerful effects on skins appearance and texture.

Rich in antioxidants Clary Sage oil has astringent properties  that helps strengthen and tone the skin. It functions as an antioxidant in this way by tightening up the skin that might be sagging due to the activity of free radicals present in the body. More specifically, there is an ester present in clary sage essential oil called linalyl acetate, which reduces skin inflammation and heals rashes.  Furthermore, it balances and regulates the production of natural oils in the skin, reducing both oily and dry skin and helping your skin look young and beautiful.

Is best known for its beautiful, floral aroma and its ability to help ease stress and provide a sense of calm.  It can help soothe, repair and strengthen problem skin. It also can aid in scars and after marks of boils. This includes the fading away of stretch marks and surgery marks.

    Davana Oil

Aromatically, Davana Essential Oil possesses a beautiful rich, fruity, slightly woody aroma. When life really gets to us, it soothes the nerves, restores emotional calm, encourages a joyful mood, strengthen focus and is exceptional for quieting the mind.

Also known as ‘Everlasting’ or  ‘Immortelle’  This unique golden blossom is named for its longevity, maintaining a vibrant and captivating yellow hue even after it is picked. It has a beautiful deeply-saturated sweet, green floral scent. The essential oil is rich in active mmolecules, with unique anti-ageing properties. Helicmhrysum can help stimulate collagen production, which is said to reduce fine wrinkles and restructure the epidermis for smoother skin.
